Most MBA programs in Vienna are relatively new. Some Business Schools are joint ventures between a private company and a university. The majority of MBA programs are part-time (berufsbegleitender MBA) or executive and are conducted in German.

The longest established Business Schools in Vienna is the WU Vienna. Other Business Schools include the international Webster University, Open University, TU Vienna,  the recently established private Modul University and several other smaller Business Schools in private ownership.
